THE SPECIALTY AWARD NOMINEES FOR THE SECOND SEASON OF SCREEN WARS

AWARDS CEREMONY TO BE HELD ON APRIL 16, 2007
AS PART OF THE PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL

(Phoenix, AZ) -- IFP/PHX has announced the nominations for the Specialty Awards for the second season of SCREEN WARS, the popular AZ-TV television show (Wednesday nights at 11 pm). SCREEN WARS has often been described the AMERICAN IDOL for independent filmmakers, with the public choosing their favorite films each week.

The Specialty Awards are given alongside the publicly-chosen BEST FILM. The categories and nominees for the Specialty Awards are:

All current IFP/PHX members are invited to vote on these awards between March 28 and April 9, 2007. Ballots will be sent electronically to all members in good standing. Winners will be announced at the SCREEN WARS SEASON TWO AWARDS CEREMONY on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 7 pm at Harkins Scottsdale 101 as part of the 2007 Phoenix Film Festival.

IFP/PHX is dedicated to the advancement of independent filmmaking in Arizona.
