Slasher Flick Survival Kit by Angel Ruiz

Review by Mark S. P. Turvin

Writing – Juvenilia, but hey, doesn’t everyone have their secret reservoir of immaturity? Full of “Don’t go theres…” and “Can you believe they went theres?” It sets its sights low and is proud of it.

Direction – The camera work is static, but it does have a few moments of ingenuity, mostly during the film knockoffs, such as the camera angle at the start.

Editing – It does have a few fits and starts, but it doesn’t look like polish was too much on their minds.

Acting – Big, loud, and blowzy, just as it should be.

Intangibles – I think they should have kept the Body Double Mini (available in the gag reel).

Overall – Grinning and groaning are the rewards for this oft-spoofed theme send-up.
