Actor, writer, former newspaper reporter/columnist, teacher.

BA in Theatre & Speech from U of Missouri-KC.

Started studying acting with Robin Humphrey (one of the 13 original graduates of The New York Actors Studio, with Brando), and in LA, with Dana Elcar (founder of LA Actors Theatre who is perhaps best known for TV's "MacGyver"). Among other notable teachers: Alexis Minotis (founder of the Greek National Theatre and a veteran actor seen in such films as Alfred Hitchcock's "Notorious").

For a while, had parallel life as writer/reporter during which time profiled dozens of Hollywood icons including actors Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant and Gregory Peck and film directors Frank Capra, Bill Wilder and Robert Wise. Also luminaries such as Ted "Dr. Seuss" Geisel, playwright Neil Simon and dancer/choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
