The 10th Annual PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL (PFF), celebrating
independent films and the filmmakers and writers behind them, in
Arizona's sunny capital city.
Welcoming over 20,000 attendees each year, PFF provides wide
exposure and frequently serves as a launching pad for indie titles.
An impressive 80% of the Festival's competitive feature film
selections have been picked up for distribution, including
theatrical and studio DVD releases. Celebrating the auspicious
tenth anniversary in 2010, PFF is gearing up for its most inclusive
and ambitious edition yet, sealing its reputation as a festival
equally focused on the strength of its programming and its
commitment to the filmmaker experience. The Festival lavishes loads
of southwestern hospitality on exhibiting film artists, and was
named one of Moviemaker's "25 Coolest Film Festivals." All
attending filmmakers receive two VIP passes, granting entry to any
and all PFF festivities. Feature filmmakers also receive air
transportation within the continental United States, hotel
accommodations, and shuttle service to and from PFF's centralized
venues. All seven of PFF's state-of-the-art screens are located
under the same roof, and just a few steps away from the Party
Pavilion, offering a jam-packed schedule of parties, seminars,
panels, and other special events.

filmmaking.
MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Filmmakers in competition vie for the coveted Copper Wing Trophy;
winners from PFF 2009 include LIGHTBULB, THE WAY WE GET BY, and
SHOOTING BEAUTY. And, while PFF wants to show the best films
regardless of their premiere status, PFF 2009 did happen to feature
the World Premieres of circuit darlings THE WAITING LIST and
WAITING FOR OPHELIA, among others.
PFF alum Paul Osborne's soon-to-be-released documentary about the
ups and downs of the film festival circuit, OFFICIAL REJECTION,
unabashedly celebrates PFF, where the film debuted in 2009. Osborne
gushes that "The Phoenix Film Festival is absolutely the best
festival on the circuit, without question. From the staff to the
programming to the all-important audience they draw, this is the
ultimate festival experience" - a statement representative of the
overwhelming praise echoed by numerous PFF alumni. Be there;
submit your film or screenplay to the Phoenix
Film Festival today!
