At the end of the film screening, Jason Carney, Chris LaMont and Amanda Melby presented the following winners with certificates.

Best Overall Technical Elements – An Uplifting Tale
Best Cinematography – The Treehouse *
Best Editing – The System *

Best Actress – Daniela Mitchell, Boners*
Best Actor – Brock Palmer, Split *
Best Ensemble Acting – The System *

Best Use of Prop – DB
Best Use of Line – Final Frame
Best Use of Genre – Space Broads 2: Greystache’s Revenge

*These winners become nominees in the Spring Finals in their respective categories. IFP/PHX members vote on these awards in the Spring.


TOP FIVE FILMS:
5th place: DB (Comedy), G2
4th place: Single (Comedy), Catbrain Film Factory
3rd place: The System (Drama), D+NA Films -$50 prize
2nd place: An Uplifting Tale (Drama), Team Sailbear -$75 prize
1st place: Boners (Musical), Mambo Grin Films -$250 prize and automatic selection to the 2010 Phoenix Film Festival.

These films move into the finals that take place April 12, 2010 at the Phoenix Film Festival.


Audience members were handed a ballot that included all but the Top 5 films. The results were announced at the after-party at Buffalo Wild Wings.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER:

The audience voted on their favorite of the five films that were turned in past the 48-Hour deadline. This is the only award they were eligible for.
