Blake Synder passed away early this morning from a heart attack. He was a great teacher and friend to everyone that met him. Blake will be missed.

For those unfamiliar with him, get his book SAVE THE CAT.

Della Sue, I used to hang out at American Zoetrope all the time. I'm glad to know they're still going strong. Very talented and loyal support group there. Haven't been in a while because, frankly, I'm been so busy with volunteer stuff that I haven't had a chance to do much writing in a couple of years.

The Wednesday Table Read at Barnes & Noble @ Tempe Market Place was a great success. Great job Mark in talking with the manager and setting this up.

Would anyone be interested in specific screenwriting classes or individual consultations to help you work through an existing scripts? These would be intensive and focused and I would need to set a class limit to ensure individual attention. Also, it would be my own time, over and above the IFP sessions I normally do, so I would charge a small premium to make up for the time spent. You can contact me personally if you have specific questions, or comment here for general ones that others may be interested in following.

Hello! I'm a newbie. I write at the peer mentor group American Zoetrope. Are there any Zoetropers here?

OK here is my intro to everyone. I have just joined the IFP in hopes of meeting with and getting involved in the film community in AZ and PHX in particular. I have been writing (for fun) most of my life and I am currently working on my first screenplay. I have written/produced/acted/directed/edited a couple of shorts (while a film student). Spent years away from this game - but just keep feeling the pull back. I look forward to any advice or help that anyone might be able to provide. Thanx a million
