More About the Film

The short film, Addict, is a chaotic ride through the world of meth through a user’s eyes. Following the main characters, Amy and Harry, the audience will question the way in which they look at their own lives and others around them. The story starts out following a gentle conversation between our main protagonists, leading them to the conclusion that they need to fill their fiending desire for this psychotropic substance. At any cost and at any measure, they will begin to develop a want and need to fulfill their desires. As they first question whether they should cook their own, then question the possibility of pawning a car stereo, and ultimately robbing a convenience store at gunpoint, the characters’ thoroughly disengage from their own lives and develop an evolutionary pattern, in all causality, creating a life-long disaster of epic proportions. Therefore, they obtain the necessary blood money to purchase the drug from their dealer, Rick, whom confronts the married couple with a frightening story. Leaving the retched dwelling of this controversial character, Harry and Amy, set back to their own home where they are forced into this vexed environment of misery and poor conjugal trust. In the end, Harry forces his way into Amy, in the most primal way that our species can still experience.
