We are excited to also announce that ALL 8 semi-finalist scripts have moved on as a Finalist, and all of the scripts are eligible to be produced as part of the second phase of this challenge.
Next Step – Finding a Director
The next phase of this challenge is finding a winning director/screenplay combination that will bring one of these stories to life. IFP Phoenix will be accepting applications for directors. Deadline for application is January 6, 2012. Follow-up interviews to the applying directors will be made and selections will be announced at the Masterpiece Film Challenge screening on January 20, 2012 at the Phoenix Art Museum. At that time, the selected director will be given a budget and access to production resources to complete the film they selected.
For details about applying to be a director, please visit the Script to Screen Challenge page, which will be continually updated as details are available.
